About COBR

Our Commitment

The Community’s Organization, Central Oregon Baby Resources, is committed to providing daily essentials to children aged 0-5 years through local non-profit organizations, schools, and community programs, that work directly with families and children experiencing homelessness, foster care, or difficult times.

Working closely with multiple organizations across Tri-County area positions us to have a greater impact as it allows us to reach more people including those in rural areas. Recognizing the profound impact of early childhood development, specifically years 0-5, we are committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.

About the Founder

Kiersten is the Founder and Executive Director of Central Oregon Baby Resources, a nonprofit organization driven to help provide daily essentials to families in need with the focus being 0-5 years of age. Central Oregon is a place held close to her heart as she grew up visiting family in Powell Butte and spending much of her summer breaks exploring the area. Now, as a community member, she looks forward to building a stronger foundation for its members.

Her volunteer experience ranges from cooking meals for homeless children to gathering children’s supplies to give to families who are struggling financially. She has been an active supporter of domestic workers’ rights and helped create Seattle’s Domestic Workers Bill of Rights, the first of its kind to pass in the U.S.

Kiersten’s educational background is in early childhood development. She understands that the first few years of a child’s life will define their entire life; this understanding is what has driven her to start this journey. In 2023 with the support of her family, friends, and community she launched COBR.

“Parenting is hard, and it takes a village. I’m committed to serving my community and creating a place where multiple organizations can work together to ensure all children, regardless of their family’s financial status, have an equal opportunity to thrive. We owe this to our children and the parents that raise them, we are that village.”
